Now that your beautiful baby is here, lets focus on you!
What is a postnatal MOT?
A comprehensive full-body check designed to support your recovery after pregnancy and birth.
Your physiotherapist can assess your pelvic floor, core strength, posture, C-section or perineal scar healing, and any pain or discomfort you may be experiencing.
You’ll receive personalised hands on treatment where appropriate, rehab exercises, and recommendations to help you safely return to daily activities and exercise.
Comfort & Consent Note:
This service may include an internal pelvic floor examination, but only with your full consent. Your comfort, privacy, and preferences guide every part of the session.
When should I book my postnatal MOT?
We recommend booking a postnatal MOT between 6 weeks and 6 months postnatal and definitely before returning to exercise. However, it is never too late!
Can I still have a postnatal MOT if I do not have any issues?
Absolutely!
A postantal MOT is suitable if you are not having any issues but just want everything checked, especially if you are planning on returning to exercise!
What is postnatal massage?
A restorative massage designed to support your recovery after birth.
This treatment helps relieve muscular tension from feeding, lifting, and caring for your baby, while promoting relaxation and improving overall comfort.
We target areas commonly affected after pregnancy and birth such as the back, neck, shoulders and hips.
Techniques and positioning are tailored to your postnatal stage and any birth-related considerations, including caesarean recovery.
Can I bring my baby?
Yes!
Babies are very welcome however we do recommend you come alone so that all the focus can be on you!
